Here Comes the Class of 2024

Posted

With happy sighs of relief combined with soaring exuberance, more than 5,500 Guilford County high school graduates representing 30 high schools in the district walked, strutted, and strolled across the stage to receive their diplomas.

The resilient class of 2024 began their high school years learning online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These newly minted graduates were attentive as they listened to the inspiring words from their principals, valedictorians, salutatorians, administrators and, of course, their teachers. Many graduates could be heard saying, “We did it!” And indeed, they did.

Guilford County Schools (GCS) conducted commencement ceremonies, many simultaneously, at various venues inside the capacious Greensboro Coliseum Complex.

More graduation photos to come next week. Watch these pages!
