Dudley trounces Grimsley, 46-0

The Dudley Panthers celebrated homecoming Friday night at J.A.
Tarpley Stadium with a 46-0 Metro 4-A win over the visiting
The Panthers (8-0, 3-0) served notice early that it was going
to be a long night for the Whirlies. On the Panthers’ first
offensive possession quarterback Emmanuel Mosley streaked 83-
yards just 15 seconds into the game. Dudley led 6-0 and the
Dudley marched 50 yards, using six plays, capped off by a
Darius Graves 18 yard run with 7:33 left in the first quarter.
In the second quarter Dudley blocked a punt for a safety. On
the ensuing kickoff the Panthers marched 36 yards, capped off
by a Connell Young five-yard touchdown reception from Mosley
pushing the Panthers’ lead to 22-0 at the half.
Dudley’s Lamarc Watlington scored on the first play of the
second half and the rout was on. Dudley’s defensive dominated
the game holding the Whirlies (3-6, 1-2) to just two first
downs and minus six yards total offense during the first half
Mosley, Graves and Watlington led the Panthers’ offense by
collectively amassing more the 300 yards rushing.
