What about supplements Dr. Dalton-Bethea?
Ingesting daily Glucosamine (Glucosatrin), which contains hyaluronic acid, is beneficial. This daily intake helps to support the overall health of the joints. See more information under the NutraMetrix Page of our Web site (www.pssspa.com) for more details about Glucosatrin and other supplements to support your joint health.
Are different physical therapy modalities useful?
A short course of physical therapy or chiropractic may also be beneficial for pain reduction. Treatment is individualized so that you are able to consistently perform the provided exercises on your own. Keep exercising three to five times weekly.
Aquatic (water) therapy is great for the joints and takes the pressure off while you exercise. It helps one obtain more flexibility and strength. Some patients benefit from a trial of acupuncture. This works to decrease inflammation in the affected joints which will in turn reduce pain and improve quality of life.
